Shiatsu
GenèveLanguages: FR · ENShiatsu is a manual therapy of Japanese origin that uses rhythmic finger, palm, elbow and sometimes knee pressure on acupuncture meridians to rebalance vital energy (Ki or Qi) and harmonise body and mind. Born in Japan in the early 20th century, shiatsu draws its roots from traditional Chinese medicine, Japanese anma massage and modern knowledge of anatomy and physiology. In Switzerland, qualified and ASCA/RME-certified shiatsu practitioners work in Geneva, Lausanne, Zurich, Bern, Basel, Fribourg and throughout French and German-speaking Switzerland. Shiatsu is practised clothed, on a futon on the floor or on a massage table, in a zen and soothing atmosphere. This holistic therapy is particularly effective for relieving stress, anxiety, chronic fatigue, muscle and joint pain, digestive disorders, migraines, sleep disorders, emotional imbalances and for accompanying life changes (pregnancy, menopause, bereavement). Shiatsu acts not only on symptoms but also on their root causes by restoring the free flow of energy in the meridians. Sessions are partially reimbursed by ASCA and RME supplementary insurance.
